A mid-Century school refresh.

Renovate the common restrooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors to meet ADA standards. Refresh select classrooms throughout the building with updated flooring, wall finishes, and additional convenience outlets. Modernize the science labs, art room, and STEM space with new finishes to enhance interactive and project-based learning. Remove the east corridor stairs across all three levels and construct a new external stairwell. Replace several original exterior windows as part of the building envelope improvements. The existing unit ventilators, air handling units, and rooftop units will be replaced. These units will be replaced with new hot water, chilled water coils, ECM motors and energy recovery; alongside these features all air handling units/roof-top units will be sized for the code required outside air per AHSRAE 90.1. The existing steam system will be removed and replaced with high efficiency dual fuel boilers (Fuel Oil & Natural Gas). The existing cooling system will be replaced with (2) chillers to serve the entire school. Lastly, each classroom will have independent controls with a dedicated fan powered VAV.
