HOLY FAMILY CATHOLIC SCHOOL | MASTERPLANNING
PLANNING FOR GROWTH WITH PURPOSE
Clow Berg partnered with a private Christian high school in Victoria, Minnesota, to develop a long-range campus master plan that would support future growth while strengthening the student experience and advancing the school's mission.
The planning process began with an ambitious vision to evaluate the campus's capacity for expansion. Through comprehensive site studies and test-fit exercises, the team explored the potential for a wide range of new facilities, including an Early Childhood Center, elementary school, theater, chapel, fieldhouse, gymnasium, hockey arena, softball and baseball complexes, an inflatable sports dome, and expanded athletic amenities such as fitness, concessions, and support facilities.
As the master planning process evolved, priorities became more focused on the school's most immediate needs. The plan shifted toward creating a vibrant student commons, a chapel appropriately sized for the growing student body, and specialized academic spaces designed to enhance learning opportunities. At the same time, the campus plan addressed critical infrastructure improvements, including safer and more efficient vehicle circulation, bus routing, student drop-off and pick-up, and overall campus safety.
The resulting master plan provides a strategic roadmap that balances long-term vision with practical implementation. By identifying phased opportunities for growth while addressing today's highest priorities, the plan positions the campus to continue serving students and the surrounding community for generations to come.
